Wait, his whole email? Like... the entire account is just gone? That's terrifying. I didn't even know a single click could wipe everything out like that. Makes you scared to open anything these days... what a nightmare to try and rebuild from.

Honestly "a single click wiped everything" sounds like an exaggeration or a real bad luck scenario. Phishing can mess you up but it usually doesnt nuke your entire account instantly. Most providers have recovery options or security holds for stuff like that. Either he clicked something really really sketchy or theres more to the story than just one click.
