People keep reusing the same password across banking and social media

I saw a coworker at my office in Denver use the same password for both his bank account and his Facebook login, and when I asked him about it he said it was just easier that way, so has anyone else run into this mindset and how do you even start convincing them to change?

Bring up the one thing nobody talks about: password managers come with breach alerts that actually tell you when your login got leaked, so it's not just about remembering 20 different passwords. If he's worried about forgetting stuff, that's the real fix instead of using the same one everywhere.

That "breach alerts" thing makes me think of how my cousin only found out his email got hacked when his ex-wife told him.
