Pro tip: stop using the same password for your email and bank accounts

I was cleaning a client's house last week and she asked me to check her email for a confirmation number. She handed me her phone and I saw she was logged into her email, bank, and Amazon all with the same password. I asked her about it and she said 'isn't that normal?' lol. I guess it is for a lot of people. But if one of those sites gets hacked, now they have access to everything. Has anyone else noticed friends or family doing this and had to convince them to change it?

Wait, do people actually still do that in 2024? Tbh I had to talk my own mom out of using "Password123" for everything last year. She argued it was easier to remember and I was like yeah until someone cleans out your savings account.

laughing with you @the_miles because I had the exact same convo with my aunt. She had her email password taped to her monitor at work, and I was like please tell me that's not your bank password too. She just shrugged. It took her getting a phishing email that looked legit for her to finally listen. Your mileage may vary but sometimes the scare is what it takes.
