Tried running a full system scan AFTER uninstalling Norton and got real results

I spent 2 hours running Malwarebytes on a clean install and it found 14 tracking cookies Norton never flagged. Has anyone else noticed big brand antivirus missing basic stuff like that?

yeah man 100% same experience. I had Norton on my laptop for like 2 years and thought I was good. Switched to a free trial of Kaspersky after hearing some tech guy rant about it and it found 23 tracking cookies on the first scan. Then I ran Malwarebytes just to compare and it flagged 18 more plus a couple of weird registry entries that looked like leftover junk from some old software. Makes me think Norton was basically just running in the background burning battery and doing zero actual work.

14 tracking cookies??? man that's actually insane lol. I always figured Norton was just kinda useless bloatware but missing THAT many while literally doing nothing is next level. My buddy ran Bitdefender for a year and had his credit card info stolen, turned out there was a keylogger the whole time and Bitdefender never even blinked. Makes you wonder what else these big name antivirus programs are straight up ignoring.
