Unpopular opinion: that password manager I paid $60 for was a complete waste

I bought into the hype last spring and dropped $60 on a fancy password manager subscription. Thought it would keep me safe from all my bad habits, but I ended up spending 3 hours trying to figure out how to export my old passwords from a CSV file. The auto fill never worked right on my phone at the grocery store checkout, so I just went back to writing stuff in a notebook. Has anyone else had better luck with something simpler or am I just missing the point?

Honestly, did you try the free version of Bitwarden before dropping cash on that? The $60 one sounds like a subscription trap more than anything.

Totally feel you on that. I almost fell for the same thing until I realized the free version does everything I actually need. Glad I dodged that bullet.
