Warning: my neighbor's kid just got scammed by a fake game code site
I was helping him with his bike chain yesterday and he told me he lost $20 trying to buy a Fortnite skin. He said he found a site that promised free V-Bucks, entered his mom's card details, and the whole thing was a fake. It made me realize how easy it is for kids to fall for stuff that looks real online. What's the best way to explain these kinds of scams to a 10-year-old?

Yeah, my little cousin did the same thing last year. I sat him down and compared it to those "win a free iPad" booths at the mall, you know? I told him if a website seems too good to be true, like free money for a game, it's probably a trick to take your real money. We made a rule that he has to ask an adult before typing any card info anywhere, even if the site looks cool. It finally clicked when I showed him the real Fortnite site and the fake one side by side.
