Dropped $80 on a titanium spork that bends on the first forkful of pasta

Ngl I fell for the hype. Saw all these ultralight guys raving about titanium cutlery for backpacking and figured it was bulletproof. Picked up a fancy titanium spork from some brand I can't even remember now. First time using it at home just testing it out, scooped some penne and the fork tines bent sideways like wet cardboard. $80 down the drain. I get that it's light but what's the point if it can't handle a normal meal? Anyone else had this problem or did I just get a dud?

Return that junk and grab a Snow Peak spork instead.

Used to be all about the cheap plastic stuff myself, figured a spork is a spork. Then I bought one of those $3 titanium knockoffs and it bent the first time I tried to scoop cold beans out of a jar. @knight.xena is right, the Snow Peak one is pricey but you only cry once and then you're set for LIFE. I even dropped mine in a campfire once, just wiped it off and it was fine. Never going back to the disposable junk again.
