Everyone at the Chicago airport swears by packing cubes, but I watched a guy dump his whole bag at O'Hare
I was at gate B12 at O'Hare last Thursday and the guy next to me had to pull everything out of his carry on for a random bag check, and it took him 4 minutes to dig out one charger because it was buried in a cube. I get the appeal of cubes for a week long trip, but for daily carry I think they just add another layer to fight through when you actually need something. My setup is a simple front pocket pouch and one small zip bag, and I can grab my cable in about 3 seconds. Anyone here actually use cubes for a commuter bag, or is it mostly a travel thing?
