Hit 10,000 miles on my old backpack last month without even noticing

I've been using the same daypack for my commute and weekend hikes since 2018. Last month I was cleaning out the side pocket and found a little mileage log I'd started (I teach hiking classes so I track distances). Added up all the trips and it came to exactly 10,042 miles. That thing has held my laptop, water bottles, and random tools through rain and snow and the only thing that broke was one zipper pull. It kind of blew my mind that a $60 bag lasted that long without me even thinking about replacing it. Anyone else have a piece of gear that just quietly outlasted everything else you own?

10,042 miles on a $60 bag? That's like driving a beater car across the country 3 times. Your bag has seen more of the world than most people. Mine just quietly gave up after a year, zipper split like it was made of wet cardboard. Must be nice to have gear that doesn't actively hate you. Guess they don't make em like they used to, huh.
