Hit a mile marker with my go-bag setup after 6 months of tweaking
I finally got my daily carry bag down to exactly 8.3 pounds last week. Started with a 14 pound monster 6 months ago full of junk I never used. Dropped the extra power bank and a multi tool I never touched and now it's way more manageable. Anyone else find themselves cutting gear weight just to make it easier to grab and go?

Haha "14 pound monster" is basically what I'm still carrying around. I keep telling myself I'll trim it down but then I end up throwing in a bag of trail mix and a spare hoodie and suddenly I'm back to lugging a small child around my shoulders. The worst part is I'll pack it full of gear then only ever use the chapstick and my keys. But hey at least I look prepared standing at the bus stop with 12 pounds of tactical nonsense on my back while everyone else just has a phone charger in their pocket.

Used to think I was sensible packing light. You changed my mind.
