I finally ditched my nylon backpack for a waxed canvas one
Carried a standard nylon daypack for about 4 years and it looked like a ragged gym bag after two seasons. Switched to a waxed canvas tote from a local shop in Portland six months ago and it still looks almost new despite daily abuse. Anyone else make a swap like that and see a real difference in durability?

Ugh I feel you... my last nylon bag fell apart way too fast.

Three weeks, mine lasted three weeks before the zipper gave up and the whole thing just looked sad. Guess that's what I get for buying "stylish" instead of "sturdy.
