Just found out my EDC pouch weighs more than my laptop bag and I'm not sure how to feel about it

I weighed everything on a kitchen scale last night and my little Maxpedition pouch with a Leatherman, a cheap flashlight, and a backup lighter came out to 2.4 pounds, which is actually heavier than my 15-inch work laptop, so now I'm wondering if I'm carrying a security blanket or a real tool kit, has anyone else had that moment where your pockets feel heavier than your actual work bag?

...and that's exactly how I ended up sitting in my living room at 11pm last night holding a flashlight and questioning all my life choices. I mean, congrats? You've officially optimized your EDC so hard that your pocket weighs more than the actual productive tool you carry for work. Sounds like a win. But hey, at least if your laptop dies you can still clip a paracord bracelet to your belt loop and feel prepared.

Dude, you're roasting the wrong target. Carrying a decent flashlight isn't some weird hobbyist flex. It's just practical. You ever try to find a dropped screw in the dark under your desk? Or walk your dog at night without tripping over a curb? That's what the flashlight is for. The paracord bracelet thing, yeah that's a bit much. But calling a simple pocket tool a waste because it's not a laptop is missing the point. Your laptop does one thing. A flashlight helps you see in the dark, which is like half of human existence.
