My 3-day rain trip destroyed my usual bag setup

Last month I did a rainy weekend up in Portland and my normal sling bag turned into a soggy mess. The phone pocket kept letting water in and I had to dry out my keys and charger twice a day. Anyone found a decent weatherproof pouch that fits inside a regular daily bag?

Man, that sounds like a total nightmare. I heard someone on a podcast swear by those little dry bags you use for kayaking, just shove your stuff in there and roll it shut, works way better than any fancy pouch.
