PSA: I weighed my EDC bag for the first time in 2 years and it came in at 11 pounds
I got curious after a buddy at the range in Reno handed me his and said it felt like nothing. So I dumped every pocket on my kitchen scale, and the number that got me was my multi tool at 9 ounces, which is 2 more than my flashlight, knife, and pen put together. I always figured the tool was the light one since its the smallest thing I carry. Now I'm second guessing every 'just in case' item that has been riding in that main pouch. What's the heaviest thing in your setup that you never actually use?
My uncle used to load up his tackle box with every lure he owned, then spend the whole trip just casting the same beat up spinner because it always worked. Kind of the same deal with bags, you pack your fears and end up hauling stuff you never touch. That multi tool math is brutal though, makes you want to do a full rebuild.
