That guy at the coffee shop who fixed my bag strap with zip ties

I was at a local shop in Portland last Tuesday when my backpack strap snapped right at the seam. A stranger walked over, pulled out three zip ties from his own EDC pouch, and had it rigged up in under two minutes. Has anyone else had a random stranger save your day with some unexpected gear fix?

Dude zip ties are basically the duct tape of the gear world.
