The $15 headlamp that outlasted my $90 one on truck shifts
I've been hauling parts between warehouses in Phoenix for about 8 months and always swore by the fancy rechargeable unit, but it died mid-inventory count last Tuesday. Picked up a cheap Energizer at the gas station as a stopgap, and it's still going strong after 4 straight nights of clipping it to my cap. Anyone else find the budget gear actually holds up better when you're not treating it gently?

Buddy of mine had his $130 truck light die in a rainstorm, but a $12 Walmart special outlasted it by six months.
