Why does nobody carry a basic hex key set on them?

Tbh, I was at a coffee shop in Austin last Tuesday helping a friend hang a shelf for their pop-up. The bracket screws were loose and nobody had a simple 4mm hex key. I ended up using a butter knife and a rubber band, which sort of worked but took 15 minutes and scratched the paint. I get that we all love our fancy multitools, but a $6 hex key set weighs nothing and lives in my jacket pocket now. Does anyone else keep a tiny tool on them just for furniture and rack fixes, or am I the weird one here?

Watched my buddy fix a whole bike rack with a tiny Swiss army key while I stood there with a screwdriver that didn't fit.
