Found a 1950s map of the USSR with Finland still attached

My uncle gave me this old Rand McNally atlas from 1952 and I flipped to Eastern Europe. There's Finland marked as part of the Soviet Union in the key. I guess someone at the printing office just assumed it would happen soon and jumped the gun. Has anyone else found a map that predicted borders that never actually happened?

Rand McNally was notorious for weird political predictions back then. I've got a 1944 atlas that shows a "Greater Germany" stretching all the way to the Black Sea, which never happened either. Finland being lumped into the USSR on a 1952 map makes a kind of sad sense though, since Stalin had been trying to absorb them since the Winter War. Cartographers must have been working off rumors or outdated intelligence from the war years. You ever check if the map includes the Karelo-Finnish SSR as a separate republic?

@felix_coleman87 actually the Karelo-Finnish SSR was a real thing until 1956, not a cartographer's mistake.
