Noticed a 1990s map still showed the USSR as one country

I was sorting through old maps at a garage sale last weekend and found a 1994 road atlas that still had the Soviet Union as one big blob. The seller said it was printed right after the collapse and they just didn't update the borders in time. Has anyone else come across maps from that era that kept outdated country lines way longer than they should have?

Yeah I still have a 1995 atlas that thinks the USSR exists, guess my map collecting hobby peaked early.
