Picked up a 1987 road atlas from a thrift store for $3
Turns out my town didn't exist yet on that map, just a blank spot where a highway interchange should be. Anyone else ever find a map that straight up erases your hometown from existence?

Man I had a similar thing happen with a map from like 1998. My neighborhood was built in the early 2000s so it just showed a big empty field where my house is now. Kinda trippy to see a blank space where your whole life is happening. I actually kept it because it's fun to show people and be like "look, I don't exist yet." Makes you think about how fast stuff changes even when it feels like nothing ever happens.

Nah, I kinda see it the opposite way honestly. The fact that everything gets built over eventually just makes me feel like nothing really sticks around that long.
