That 1987 map of California still lists a county that vanished in 1966
I was digging through a box of old road maps at a garage sale in Fresno and found this Rand McNally from 1987. It still shows Pah-Ute County in the southern tip, which was dissolved back in 1966 per the state archives. Has anyone else run into maps that keep stale borders for decades after they're gone?

Wait, did the cartographers just forget to update their atlas for a full 21 years, or were they hoping nobody would notice the ghost county? Sounds like the map was stuck in a time warp right along with the highway system.
