Found a trick for cleaning injector cups on a Series 60 yesterday
Working on a Detroit Series 60 at a shop outside Nashville. Injector cups were carboned up bad. Tried a wire brush, got nowhere. Grabbed a roloc disc on a die grinder. Cleaned them up in 5 minutes per cup. Thought I'd share before someone else wastes an hour scraping like I did. Anyone got a better method for the really stuck-on stuff?

Fair point. Used to think roloc was fine but you're right.

Whoa hold up, I gotta push back on that roloc idea! Those discs are way too aggressive for precision injector cup work. You're gonna end up taking off metal and changing the cup's internal dimensions if you're not careful. Plus the abrasive grit gets embedded in the aluminum if you slip once, then you're chasing contamination issues for weeks. A proper bronze brush and diesel soak overnight does the job without risking spec tolerances.
