Lost a whole Saturday ripping apart a Paccar MX-13 because I forgot to check the air filter first
Three hours into tearing down the intake system for a suspected turbo failure on a 2019 Peterbilt and the shop foreman walks over, points at the filter minder pegged at red, and asks if I checked the easiest thing - has anyone else had a day where the simple fix humbled you like that?

You know you're in for a good day when the shop foreman walks over and basically gives you a free lesson in "how to forget the basics 101" (oof). At least you got a good arm workout from all that tearing apart stuff for nothing.
