Old timer at the Port of Savannah showed me a trick for injector cups.
He pulled me aside while I was fighting a stuck injector cup on a Cat C15 and said "stop pulling, start pressing" then handed me a modified bolt and a 3-pound sledge, and the cup popped right out after 10 minutes of fighting it with a slide hammer - anyone else had a single sentence from a veteran completely change how you work?

Buddy of mine was tearing his hair out over a bad hydraulic line on a 580K. Old hand at the equipment yard just said "heat the fitting, not the line." He'd been torching the hose trying to free it up, once he heated the metal end it came right off. Still talks about that guy like he's a wizard.
