PSA: Spent $200 on a remote oil drain pump that died after 3 uses
I bought this pump off Amazon back in March thinking it would save my back crawling under trucks. Worked great the first time on a Peterbilt. Second time it started making this grinding noise. Third time it just quit completely. Opened it up and the plastic gears inside were stripped to nothing. Shoulda just stuck with my manual pump. Anybody else had luck with the pneumatic ones from Grainger?

Dude YES, same thing happened to me with almost the exact same pump. Bought one off Amazon for like $180, used it twice on my F-250 and then the third time it just started smoking and the motor locked up. Took it apart and the plastic impeller was completely shredded. Total junk. The cheap materials are such a joke for something that costs that much. I ended up grabbing a pneumatic one from a local tool supplier and it's been solid for like 6 months now. Way less hassle than fighting with a dead battery pump that can't handle a little abuse.
