Question about injector cups and my 6.0 Powerstroke

My 2005 F-350 started running rough last Thursday. Pulled the passenger valve cover and found an injector cup cracked. What's the best way to get the old cup out without dropping debris into the oil passage?

Try soaking it in Kroil overnight then use a blind hole puller with a slide hammer, worked way better than I expected. It's funny how the same idea of letting things soak and loosen up applies to stubborn problems everywhere, whether it's a rusted bolt or just giving yourself some time before reacting to something.

My dad had an old Craftsman bandsaw from the 70s that sat in a damp shed for like 15 years. We tried Kroil, PB Blaster, even that weird mix of acetone and ATF some guys swear by. Nothing worked for weeks. Then he just left the whole saw sitting outside on a hot July weekend, gave it a few good whacks with a rubber mallet, and the rust finally started flaking off. It's kind of like when you're stuck on a problem and you just walk away from it for a day or two and come back with fresh eyes and it's obvious. Sometimes the best tool in the box is just patience and a good nap.

The heat and humidity combo is legit, I've had good luck just letting stuff bake in the sun for a day then hitting it with a wire brush when it's still warm. That rubber mallet trick is old school but it works, sometimes you just gotta convince the rust to let go.
