Tried a $12 magnetic drain plug on my 6.7 and the stuff stuck to it surprised me
Pulled it after 4,000 miles at the shop in Amarillo and there was a fine gray paste on the magnet, way more than I expected from a healthy engine. Anyone else running one of these, or does a magnet just make you worry more than it helps?

Gray paste is just normal break in wear, the magnet is doing its job. Keep running it and stop worrying.
