Twin screw vs gear driven blowers, I finally switched after 12 years
I used to swear by gear driven superchargers on every 6.7 build. Then a customer from Denver brought in a twin screw unit with 180k miles and the internals still looked perfect. After seeing that, I switched my own truck over last month. Anyone else made the jump and noticed a big difference in low end torque?

That 180k mile teardown would do it to me too. I ran gear driven for years on my 5.9 and always thought they were the only way to go. Last spring I finally swapped to a twin screw and the difference off idle is honestly night and day. Low end torque comes on way sooner, makes towing through mountain passes feel like a different truck. Happy you made the switch too, it's hard to let go of something you trusted for over a decade.
