Warning: Spent $800 on a "lifetime" injector puller set that snapped on the second job
Bought a full master injector puller kit from a tool truck about 6 months ago. Salesman said it would handle anything on a Cummins or Powerstroke. Second job was a 6.7L Ford and the main adapter cracked right where it threads on. Tool truck guy said it's not covered because of "user error." Now I'm back to using my old OTC puller that's been beat up for 10 years. Anyone have a brand that actually holds up on the newer stuff?

Did you check if the adapter threads were galling up before it cracked? I've seen cheap chrome moly on those kits seize in the bore and then the stress cracks em on the second or third pull. Stick with the OTC stuff, it's not fancy but it won't leave you stranded like those branded sets.

Yeah you know I used to swear by those cheap kits thought I was saving money. But after seeing this I gotta admit I was wrong, that makes a lot of sense now.
