Found out 60% of digital art sales on DeviantArt come from prints not downloads

I was digging through their 2024 stats report and that stat blew my mind since I always thought commissions were the main money maker, anyone else surprised by where their sales actually come from?

Hmm, but is that really the full picture though? I feel like prints might be easy to track but they're not where the real money is for most artists. I've watched tons of smaller creators on DA and their stores barely move, it's the Patreon and commission tips that actually keep the lights on. Plus a lot of those print sales are probably from a handful of BIG name artists with massive followings, not the average user. So that 60% stat feels kinda misleading when you think about how it's distributed.
