Getting the right blue for a sky in a piece took me three whole days
I was working on a big digital painting of the Seattle skyline at sunset, and I just could NOT get the sky color right. It kept looking flat or way too purple. I must have tried 30 different layers and blend modes in Procreate before I found a mix that felt real. Has anyone else had a color fight with a piece that just would not end?

Wasn't there a whole thing about how digital screens can't show true cyan? I read that messes with sky colors a lot. Makes sense why it's such a pain to get right.

Ugh, tell me about it. @the_olivia might be onto something there, because I once spent a whole weekend just trying to get a simple sunset to look right.
