Had to pick between a $90 drawing tablet and a $30 mouse for my first digital portrait, guess which one I chose?

Oh man, that mouse portrait better look like a masterpiece. I can already picture the struggle trying to shade with a scroll wheel. Honestly, that's the kind of chaotic choice I would make and then deeply regret halfway through.

My buddy Dave tried to paint a whole comic page with just a trackpad last year. He said blending colors felt like trying to spread cold butter with a plastic spoon. He bought a tablet the very next day.

Laughing at @lisar14's scroll wheel shading comment, you'll probably end up using that $90 tablet as a giant mousepad instead.
