Hit 500 followers on my art page last night and it felt weird

Started posting my digital paintings back in 2020 just to have somewhere to put them. Never really pushed for followers or did the whole hashtag game. Checked my phone last night and saw I crossed 500. That number caught me off guard because I remember when 50 felt like a lot. Most of them are from a couple pieces I did of local buildings around Cleveland that just took off randomly. I guess it goes to show you never know what people will connect with in this community. Any of you guys hit a milestone that surprised you like that?

My buddy hit 200 subscribers on his cooking channel and nearly dropped his spatula.

Told him to keep at it, that's when the real fun begins. 200 subs on a cooking channel is like finally getting your knife skills down, it's a solid start but the real cooking hasn't even started yet. What really helped me was focusing on the one thing I did best, not trying to please everyone at once. Just keep posting the stuff you're actually good at, people will show up for that.
