I was looking at the art for a game I like and the file sizes were huge
I downloaded a fan art pack for a game called 'Hollow Knight' from a forum, and the zip file was over 2 gigabytes. When I opened it, there were hundreds of PSD files, each one like 50 MB. I guess I never thought about how much space all those layers and high-res textures take up... it's a lot of data just for one picture. Does anyone else get surprised by how big their art files get?

Yeah, the PSD thing is wild. I work with them sometimes and watching the file size balloon with every new layer is a real shock. You save it and suddenly it's eaten another chunk of your hard drive. Makes you appreciate how much work goes into that single image.

My last PSD hit 2 gigs before I even added text. It's crazy how fast they grow.
