Just realized my color profiles were ruining my digital prints
A fellow artist at a local meetup told me I had my monitor set to sRGB but my printer was expecting Adobe RGB. I laughed it off at first because I thought all that profile stuff was just tech hype. After getting back 3 prints from a gallery that looked totally washed out and dark, I finally checked her advice. Turns out she was right, the colors were way off because the profiles didn't match. Now I calibrate my screen every 2 weeks and set everything to the same profile before I even start painting. Has anyone else had a similar issue with print colors looking nothing like your screen?

Oh man, that stinks. A friend of mine had the exact same thing happen. She painted a whole series for a local show and the prints came back looking like muddy garbage. She was so mad she almost cried. It turned out her monitor was just way too bright and her color settings were totally mismatched. Now she uses a hardware calibrator and it changed everything. Her prints actually match her screen now.

Her prints actually match her screen now." Is it really that big of a deal though?
