My friend's art went from flat to amazing in just 6 months after she learned about layer blending modes

She showed me a piece from last fall and one from last week, and the difference is crazy. The old one looked kinda plain, like everything was just pasted on top. She said she spent a month just messing with 'Overlay' and 'Multiply' in Procreate on her iPad. Now her shadows and light look real, and the colors pop way more. Sounds like you just learned how to trace a shape. The magic wand is way faster anyway.
