Overheard a gallery owner say most digital art prints are sized wrong for standard frames
I was at a small art show last weekend and this older guy who runs a framing shop was talking to someone. He said 90% of the digital art he sees for sale online uses non-standard sizes like 11x17 or 16x20 when most frames are built for 8x10, 11x14, or 12x18. He claimed people lose sales because buyers don't want to pay $40 extra for a custom frame. Made me rethink how I set my canvas sizes. Has anyone else run into this mismatch?

Isn't it funny how something so simple can trip us up? I switched to sticking with 12x18 a while back when I sold prints online and my sales actually went up. Sometimes just matching what people already have makes a bigger difference than we think.

Does changing your print sizes actually help sales that much or is it mostly about the frame savings?
