Saw my first digital painting from 2019 next to one from last week and wow the difference is wild

I found an old piece I did back in 2019 with a mouse in MS Paint and put it next to something I made last week with a tablet and Krita and the improvement from just learning about layers and pressure sensitivity was honestly ridiculous, has anyone else ever gone back and cringed at their old stuff?

Honestly, that mouse-to-tablet jump is SO real. I still have old stuff where my lines look like spaghetti and I wanna delete the whole file. Just stick with it, the cringe means you're actually learning.

ruby_lane's got it right, that mouse to tablet jump is a total game changer. When you say your lines look like spaghetti, was that more about the pressure sensitivity fixing your line control, or did you also have to unlearn some bad habits from using a mouse?
