Warning: found out my digital art file was corrupt from a bad cloud sync
I was working on a piece for a client in Phoenix and went to open my PSD file yesterday, but half the layers were just scrambled colors. Has anyone else dealt with corrupted files from cloud storage, and is there a way to recover them without starting over?

Oh man, scrambled layers like that is terrifying... that's the kind of thing that makes my stomach drop just reading it. I honestly would have panicked way harder than you sound right now. Have you tried opening the PSD in something like GIMP or even an older version of Photoshop? Sometimes the file structure is mostly okay but the newer features mess up the read. And if you still have the cloud version on your local hard drive from before the sync, you might be able to grab a backup from the recycle bin or a previous version save. I really hope you can get those layers back, losing work that close to a deadline is brutal.

Man, that's rough. I've been there with corrupted files and it's just the worst feeling, especially with a deadline breathing down your neck.
