Compared two transcript evaluation services, the smaller one won by a mile

I needed to get my nursing credits reviewed for a job application last month in Phoenix. I tried a big national outfit first, the one everyone talks about. They took 11 days just to say they got my paperwork, then wanted $140 extra to actually break down each course. I got annoyed and tried a local place near the community college instead. They charged $75 flat and had my transcript mapped to the new program within 48 hours. The big company sent a generic report with no notes, but the small one highlighted which credits could transfer and even flagged two classes I could appeal. Have you folks found smaller services more hands-on when you needed a detailed breakdown?
