Mangled my transcript request 3 years ago, the registrar in Tucson still remembers me

Back in 2021 I needed my official transcripts rushed for a job deadline, and I accidentally picked the wrong delivery option, paid $45 for express but it went standard mail anyway. By the time I called the University of Arizona registrar, the HR deadline had already passed and I was just sitting in my car outside their building feeling dumb. The clerk, a lady named Rosa, took pity on me and printed a sealed copy on the spot, even waived the $10 pickup fee. Has anyone else gotten a bad break from a missing credential and had to talk your way out of it?

That clerk Rosa sounds like a real one. Totally saved your butt. I had something similar happen with my nursing license renewal back in 2019. Needed my old transcripts from a community college that closed down, and the state board wouldn't accept the digital copy. Had to drive two hours to the county records office and beg the lady there to dig through a filing cabinet. She found it after like 45 minutes and didn't charge me anything. People in those offices can really make or break your day.
