Found out I was filling out my work history forms wrong for 6 months.

Had a phone call with my case worker last week about my denial. She asked why I listed every single task I ever did instead of just the physical demands. Turns out putting 'filed documents and answered phones' was hurting me because they thought I could still do sedentary work. What finally tipped me off was she said 'stop telling us what you did, tell us what you CAN'T do anymore.' Has anyone else had to redo their work history forms after getting bad advice?

The part about "stop telling us what you did, tell us what you CAN'T do" really hit home. A buddy of mine did the same thing for almost a year and kept getting denied until her lawyer told her to just focus on the limitations. She said it felt weird at first but it was the only way her case actually moved forward.

Totally agree, my buddy went through the exact same thing. Once he stopped talking about what he used to do and just hammered home what he couldn't do anymore, the whole process finally started moving.
