Hit my 6 month mark and got denied anyway thought I was safe

I was sure once I made it past the 5 month point things would be fine. My doctor had even said most people get approved around 4-5 months. But at 6 months exactly I got that denial letter in the mail from SDI. They said my medical records didn't prove enough. Now I gotta start the appeal process and wait even longer. Has anyone else had a denial after waiting that long?

Friend of mine got denied after 7 months right when they started a new job and had to quit it.

Sorry you're stuck in that mess. The system is basically designed to give everyone at least one denial no matter what your doctor says. They probably just want to see if you'll give up and go away. That's the actual game they're playing with your time and stress. A buddy of mine got denied at 8 months and then approved on appeal a week later, so don't take it personally. Just make sure your doctor sends them all the notes and test results this time. It's a stupid waiting game but you gotta play it.
