oh man I had a buddy who went through this exact same thing with his disability claim, it took him almost two years and he was basically living off ramen and couch surfing because they kept putting him through hoops. he finally got approved last spring and he said the relief was like someone took a cinder block off his chest, he could actually start going to physical therapy without worrying about how to pay for it. the whole system is so backwards where you have to prove you're struggling enough to get help, but they make it so hard you almost give up. I'm really glad you stuck it out though because too many people just let it slide and that's exactly what they want. here's hoping your health turns around now that you don't have that paperwork nightmare hanging over you.
