My SSDI denial letter was actually telling me the truth the whole time

After 14 months of appeals and a video hearing in Fresno, I realized my first denial from July 2022 listed the exact medical evidence I was missing, and I was too busy being angry to read past the word 'denied' to notice it, so has anyone else gone back to their original letter after a hearing loss and found the answer was hiding in plain sight?

Stop romanticizing a system that punishes people for being sick. That first letter is a trap, not a roadmap, and most folks don't have the energy to decode legal jargon while they're barely functioning. Maybe you got lucky, but reading between the lines isn't a strategy when the whole game is rigged against you.
