Psych eval doctor kept calling me young lady, did they even read my file?
Had my exam downtown last Tuesday with Dr. Patel. Walked in with my 60 page history of lumbar issues and nerve damage. She spent maybe 10 minutes on memory tests and then kept saying stuff like "you're doing great young lady" and "don't worry about the numbers sweetie." I'm 45. My claim is for cognitive decline after back surgery complications. Got my report back yesterday and it says I have "mild cognitive impairment unlikely to impact work." But she never even asked about my medication side effects or my work history. I sat in that waiting room for an hour. Has anyone else had a psych eval where the doctor clearly didn't read the actual claim file? Did you fight it or get a second opinion? My lawyer said I could request a new one but that's another 3 month wait.
