Saw a huge jump in my SSDI approval chances after switching lawyers in Fresno
I spent 8 months with my first lawyer getting nowhere and then switched to a firm that specializes in mental health claims and had a decision in 3 months with back pay, has anyone else had better luck with a specialist lawyer?

Switching to a specialist made all the difference for me. My first lawyer was a generalist and kept filing the same type of evidence over and over. The second one went straight for functional capacity forms from my therapist and a detailed work history report showing how my condition kept me from doing even simple tasks. Got approved 6 weeks after the hearing. What kind of evidence did your new lawyer focus on?

Oh my god, the functional capacity form thing. Yes. That's exactly what my second lawyer did too. My first guy just kept sending the same doctor visit notes over and over, like the judge didn't already see those. When I switched, she immediately had me set up those forms with my therapist and my primary care doc. She also did a really detailed work history report, like describing how I couldn't even stand at my cash register job without needing to sit down every 10 minutes or whatever. It was night and day. The judge actually asked questions about the specific examples in the report at the hearing. I got approved about a month later. It's crazy how much the right evidence matters.
