The intake specialist at the San Jose SSA office told me something new
Sat in the Social Security office downtown for 2 hours waiting. The specialist said submitting medical records as PDFs with bookmarks actually speeds up review by weeks. Anyone else hear about this formatting trick?

Heard about this from a buddy who works at a different SSA office. Said it saves their reviewers like 20 minutes per claim. PDF bookmarks let them jump straight to the relevant parts instead of scrolling through a hundred pages. Supposedly helps a lot with the mental health records especially those are always the thickest files. Makes sense they'd prioritize clean submissions.

Felix's buddy is spot on... my file guy at the local DDS told me the same thing last month. Said the bookmarks cut through those huge mental health packets like a hot knife through butter, lets them flag the critical stuff in seconds instead of ten minutes of scrolling. Makes a massive difference when you're pushing through a backlog of cases every day...
