TIL my SDI claim stalled for 3 months because I wrote 'back pain' instead of the official diagnosis name

I spent 2 hours on hold with the EDD office in Fresno last Tuesday only to find out the reviewer flagged my app as incomplete because I used everyday words instead of the exact medical code they wanted, has anyone else had a claim hung up on something this dumb?

Oh wow, that is absolutely ridiculous. I don't think it's supposed to work that way, they should accept regular terms and look up the code themselves.
