Unpopular opinion: that $400 disability lawyer I hired was a complete waste
I hired this firm in Sacramento called Disability Advocates Plus after reading their so-called 5 star reviews. They charged me $400 upfront just to fill out paperwork I could have done myself in an afternoon. Three months later I got denied anyway and they ghosted me when I asked for a refund. Has anyone else had luck going through the SSA directly instead of using these middlemen?
